About us

 

We are René and Jørna van Wingerden and we live in Heemskerk, a village 30 km from Amsterdam. Both René and Jørna are raised in a dog-loving family. Since may 2007 we are the proud owners of our Rhodesian Ridgeback dog Bhanu. In january 2009 Jua is added to our family. The first time René saw a ridgeback is many years ago. But ever since that first meeting, he was sure that when we would be able to own a dog of our own, it should be a Rhodesian Ridgeback! Fortunately, Jørna and our kids, Amber and Sem, also fell in love for this beautiful breed.

Since the 5th of may 2007, Bhanu lives with us and became a member of the family. It was clear that a second ridgeback was very welcom. Our new familymember Jua lives with us since january 2009. Jua is the daughter of Bhanu's biggest friend Vizara Luangwa Ijaba. Since Bhanu entered our house, I (Jørna)became more and more interested in dogbehavior and she started the study dogbehavior (Dogvision). In 2010 I started my own enterprise: Jørna van Wingerden, dog instructor, dogeducation and behavior advicement. Our kids Amber and Sem, also like to work with dogs. Sem started to participate sometimes in the junior handling competition at dogshows with Bhanu's big friend Vizara Luangwa Ijaba. Amber likes to join us with walks and she often joins Jørna while visiting dogshows with Jua.
