december 19th: Today we cuddled with Ijaba's puppies! They are now over 2 and a halve weeks old. Ijaba is such a super mommy and all the puppies are very cute!! New link added.

december 2nd: Today we had a nice walk on the beach with Beau (and Akos and Marjolein)

2nd december: On the first of december, Ijaba gave birth to 8 beautiful and healthy puppies: 7 bitches and 1 dog. Many congrats to Ijaba, Martine and Martijn!!! For more information, check their site.

 

november 19th: Last weekend, we spend some nice days in Drenthe and of course Bhanu came along with us! We visited camp Westerbork on saturday and on sunday we made a long walk with our brown friend in the national park of Odoorn-Exloo.

 

october 25th: Big news! Ijaba is pregnant!!! The puppy's are expected the 2nd of december! For more information check Ijaba's site: Mafinga Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Last week, Bhanu played with his uncle Jukati in Spaarnwoude. Amber and Sem came with us too and we had a nice afternoon. Bhanu and Jukati can get on very well together and that's great to see!!

 

october 15th: English version of our site is in the air!

october 12th: Last week we made some nice pictures of Bhanu. He had a lot of fun in the dunes and on the beach. We enjoyed a nice and sunny october-day!

The new Rhodesian Ridgeback calender is available! And Bhanu makes part of it: you can find a nice picture of him (made by Nathascha den Herder) at the october-month. Bhanu's sister Kabisha is on the frontpage of the calender. The profits of the calender are for the Dutch Rhodesian Ridgebacks Rescue fund. october 10th: On the 30th september and the 1st october mating took place between Vizara Luangwa Ijaba and Noldor Majestic Sinbest in Tallinn, Estonia. Exciting times!! We'll keep our fingers crossed for healthy and beautiful puppy's! For more information, click here.

october 8th: We changed the looks of our website! In the next days, more changes will follow. Elly (Madzinza Rhodesian Ridgebacks) made a very nice new banner for us, thanks a lot! If you want to link our site on yours, feel free to use our banner!

september 27th: On the homepage of our site, we've got a new edited picture of Bhanu, made by Elly (Madzinza Rhodesian Ridgebacks). Thanks Elly, it's beautiful!!

september 26th: It's still nice and sunny weather. Since I attended a workshop from photographer Bonnie van den Born, I like making pictures even more than I allready used to do. So Bhanu had to be my model again this morning ;-)

september 18th: Yesterday we enjoyed the nice late summer weather and had a walk with Willemijn and Jukati. We had a very nice afternoon and the boys had a lot of fun playing together.

september 10th: Today we made a very nice walk on the beach of Hoek van Holland together with Stieneke and Bhanu's sister Kabisha. It was a perfect day and Bhanu liked to play with his sister!

september 2nd: The picture above shows pretty good the relation between Amber and Bhanu: real love! Bhanu loves it when the kids join us with long walks. They play hide and seek with him and he likes those funny games a lot!

august 23th: The pages "Bhanu" and "about us" are restyled.

august 8th: The homepage of our website is restyled with a nice edited picture of Bhanu! Elly (Madzinza Rhodesian Ridgebacks), thanks!

august 4th: Vizara Luangwa Ijaba became Belgian Champion this weekend at the dogshow in Leuven (Belgium). Many congrats Martine, Martijn and Ijaba!

august 1st: Today Bhanu had his 5th human scent tracking lesson and he loves it! He's really eager and fanatical and his self-confidence on scent tracking has grown a lot.

july 27th: We had a great holiday in the Vosges (France). We made a lot of nice, long walks in the mountains. The environment was so beautiful with many lakes. And Bhanu? He had a great time! He climbed like a mountain goat en he was so happy with the whole family together! For pictures, click here or on the picture below.

In the beginning of the month july, Ijaba stayed with us for a weekend. It was so great to see Bhanu and Ijaba together! They are big friends!! For pictures, click here or on the picture below.

We put some new albums on the photopage: short holiday in Drenthe, the junior handling in Hulten (Sem with Ijaba) and just some nice pictures Bhanu at the age of 16 months.

 

july 4th: Finally a new update! In may we had a short holiday in Drenthe. We stayed in a hotel and Bhanu came with us. We made a nice walk (10 km) together with the kids and Bhanu. Bhanu was very sweet and it's so great that we can bring him everywhere.

On friday the 13th of june, Bhanu and Ijaba had their first human scent tracking lesson. It's great to see how much fun they have by using their natural skills. We linked the scent tracking school at the pages with links.

On sunday the 15th of june, Sem and Ijaba were a couple in the junior handling competition for the second time. They did a great job and they really are a team!

 

may 9th: We had a fantastic day! Bhanu's daddy Zorro was in Holland with his owners Marko and Anne. We met them in Maurik and it was nice to see each other after 1.5 year. Bhanu's sisters, Jinaki and Kabisha, and Bhanu's brother Katano were also here. Bhanu played a lot with his sisters. It was a warm day, but the dogs played so nice together and they cooled down in the water. For pictures of this day, click here or on the picture below.

may 5th: Exactly one year ago, Bhanu entered our house! Time flies when you're having fun ;-) He is a real member of the family and we enjoy every day with our big friend!

Other news: Vizara Luangwa Ijaba is now International Champion! Many congrats for Martine, Martijn and Ijaba!

may 1st: We received this picture from Bhanu, Misha and Kabisha (made by Bonnie van den Born)

april 24th: Saturday the 19th of april, we went to the offspring examination of the RRCN (Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Netherlands). All the owners of ridgebacks with a pedigree, born between the first of june 2006 and the first of june 2007, were able to let inspect their dog, like on a dogshow. Bhanu entered the showring together with his sisters Micha and Kabisha. It was a pity that his sister Jinaki, his brother Katano and his mother Basheera were absent. We were so proud of our Mr. Doubleridge. He presented himself as if he was a real showdog en we had a lot of fun. And it was so nice to read in the report that Bhanu has a beautiful head and a great temper!!

april 18th: Click here for the little film Amber made from junior handler Sem and Ijaba in Goes. We are so proud of this amazing team!

april 6th: Yesterday Sem entered the junior handler competition for the first time together with his friend Vizara Luangwa Ijaba. And we are proud of both of them!! Sem was the only boy and was only 7 years old (officially, the minimum age is 11 years, but they allow younger handlers). It was great to see Sem and Ijaba together in the showring. They were so concentrated and they only had an eye for eachother. Ijaba was very relaxed, perfectly in stack, and showed her best ;-). They trained a couple of times before and we were really surprised how fast they both learned. Sem learned how to get Ijaba's attention and Ijaba learned that she had to do in the showring as if she is shown by Martine. It's great to see that they spoke the same language and that love between child and dog is so pure. Martine: thanks, it was great!
