december 20: At the international dogshow in Brussels, Jua gained the title "Brussels Winner 2010", with resCAC/resCACIB! We are very proud of our girl, she did great! A special THNX for Martine, who helped me training to make Jua feel more comfortable in the showring :-).

Last week, the winter really started in Holland: lots of snow! The dogs love to play and run in the snow. Bhanu behaves like a puppy again ;-). Click here to see all the pics.

december 7: Elly created a new banner for us... Within a few days our website will be restyled :-). The banner really fits Bhanu and Jua: the beach is so nearby for us and they love to play and run on the beach and in the dunes! Thanks Elly!

oktober 18th: Elly made this beautiful photo-art of Jua! Thanks a lot, we are very happy with it!

Last week we took a new photoshoot of Jua and also some pictures of Bhanu and Jua together. Click here to see them all. We also participated with Jua in the int. dogshow in Zwolle. Our goal for this show was to make Jua feel more comfortable in the showring after some bad experiences. And I'm glad she had a good experience this show. Jua was happy and relaxed and she gained a 4VG with a nice showreport. Her sister Chikumbi became best bitch in show en halfbrother Dhunduru became best puppy (and 5th best puppy in show!)

september 29: We spent a wonderful weekend in Drenthe together with our friends Martine and Martijn and the whole pack of dogs. Nice long walks (luckily the weather was really nice), great company and good food and drinks...carpe diem!

september 9th: Today Jua had a lot of fun with her big friend Joep. Joep has about just as much energy as Jua, so they played and run the whole time together. Thnx Agnes, we had a great time again :-).

september 5th: At the Dutch RR clubmatch Ijaba became "best in show"! We are very proud of Martine, Martijn & Ijaba! Very well done!

We also participated with Jua, but it wasn't her day. In the last months Jua achieved some excellent results and showreports at show. But at the moment she really doesn't like it to be in the showring and doesn't feel comfortable with being touched by the judge. Unfortunately the result was 2 bad qualifications. In the upcoming months we have some shows planned with Jua. After these shows we'll decide if we will go on showing.

august 22: At the international dogshow in Mechelen (Belgium), Jua became third with an excellent.

august 14th: Yesterday Jua obtained her first certificate Human Scense tracking! We had to work out a human track, 20 minutes old and 1100 meters long. There were 2 objects on the track and at least 1 had to be found. Of course she had to find the lost person too, and all of this within 25 minutes. And we did it! I'm so proud of my princess! We both really like the human scense tracking: learning how to work as a team, to see and interpret Jua's bodylanguage and to cooperate with Jua, the use of her natural skills, to be active together...great!

july 25th: We received the official results of the elbow X-rays of Jua: ED free!

july 7th: Some new pics of our dogs, enjoying the beautiful summer weather! Allthough, enjoying...;-) On the picture below Bhanu is shaking after a "water-adventure". He fell in the water, head first, and couldn't come out of it by himself. I was glad René was there to pull him out of the water!

2 Weeks ago, Duru (Jua's half-brother) stayed with us for a couple of days. Jua really liked it and wanted to play with him the whole day. Bhanu liked it too and was Duru's big example. So funny to see that Duru copied him in everything! In no time they enjoyed the sun with the 3 of them close to eachother. We enjoyed to see the 3 of them together!

juni 13th: At the international dogshow in Lommel (Belgium) Jua was placed 1 excellent in intermediate class and won resCAC! The pie Amber & Tessa made yesterday must have given good luck ;-))))))))))

june 8th: An update with a lot of new pics! The end of may I took a lot of pics of the whole pack together with Martine. Underneath a small selection, click here for more pics.

June 5th we participated in lure coursing with Bhanu & Jua and Ijaba & Chikumbi. This event was organised by the RRCN in Leek, Holland. We had a wonderful day! The first round Jua and Chikumbi didn't really know what to do. In de second round they ran with their mommy Ijaba. And she showed them perfectly how it worked! Great to see! Of course I wasn't able to take pictures by my own: Susanne, Nathascha and Esther: big thanks for all pics! Click here for more pics.

In the first round Bhanu ran together with Ijaba. He didn't have any attention for the lure at all and kept his eye on his girlfriend Ijaba ;-). When he was halfway, it was enough for him. To far away from me, so he came back full speed! In the second round, he ran by himself. He didn't run the whole course, but he had fun anyway.

may 25: Last sunday we participated in the dogshow in Arnhem. Jua did a great job and got a wonderful showreport.

Her sister Chikumbi became Dutch Youth Champion!i Martine & Kumbi: Great! Many congrats, we're proud of you!

may 20: Yesterday Martine visited us with Dhunduru and Dziya. Bhanu and Jua were very gentle with the puppies. Even sharing a pillow was no problem at all!:

The day before yesterday, Bhanu and Jua had a date with Beaudor. Beautiful weather, very pleasant company and happy dogs....a perfect day! Beaudor really is my big friend and he always will be ;-).

april 7th: Today we had a real nice spring-day! Nice weather to walk with the dogs together with Agnes. We had in mind to walk with Jua and Joep, but Jua just started her season. Bhanu was happy to take her place instead ;-). Joep really used his charmes to make Bhanu play and Bhanu liked this sweet youngster. The boys enjoyed themselves and so did the owners ;-)))

march 20th: Today we attended the international dogshow in Leiden. 8 Bitches were entered in youth class. Jua gained second place excellent! We are very proud of our little girl. march 14th: Today our big boy Bhanu celebrates his third birthday! They say that ridgebacks will behave like an adult at this age, but in case of Bhanu we're not so sure of that ;-).... It seems like he'll always be our sweet, big puppy!

march 7th: yesterday Ijaba gave birth to 13 puppies! Unfortunately 1 boy and 1 girl were stillborn. The other 11, 4 boys and 7 girls, are doing great! Ijaba did a perfect job and is such a sweet and caring mother. Martine & Martijn: many congrats with the 11 beautiful puppies@ For more info, check the Mafinga site.

february 2: We got a new banner and new webart on the entrance of our site! Elly, thanks so much for these beautiful pieces webart! We are very glad with it!

february 2: Jua's mother and Bhanu's best friend Vizara Luangwa Ijaba is pregnant! The sire of the upcoming litter is Multi Ch. Pronkberg Makari. Check Ijaba's own website (Mafinga) for more information.

23 januari: We received the official results of the hips X-rays from both Jua and Chikumbi: they both have HD-A! We are very happy with this result!

Today Jua lives exactly 1 year with us (thanks Marja, for helping me to remember this ;-)) And time flies: already 1 year ago that little Jua stepped full of confidence into our house, and we can not imagine our lives without her ever since! She always knows how to make you smile and every day we are so happy with our second sunshine!
